How to make more money as a barber

One thing you can never say as a barber is I make too much money.

On the other hand we hear all the time about how Barbers aren’t making enough money. How many times have you thought to yourself I wish I could make more money as a barber? Or how many times have you thought on different ways of how to make more money as a barber. Like if I could only cut two more haircuts a day that would be another hundred dollars a week.

How to make more money as a barber

These are things I hear daily being a educator. And I always give the same response. You get back what you put in how can you expect to make that extra $100 a week without getting those extra two clients a day? See most people want to make more money but they don’t want to put in the work to make that money.

In today’s blog I’m going to show you exactly step by step on how to turn your dreams into realities. By putting in the work to grow your clientele in to make it happen on a very small budget.
If you go to vistaprint.com you can get 500 premium business card shipped to your door for $16 and with promo codes you can get them even cheaper. We are not associated with Vistaprint and we are not making any money off of you getting your business cards there this is just a website that we use and refer a lot of our students too.
Now this may sound crazy but the number one response I’ll get back when I tell people to go buy business cards they say $16 is a lot of investment to make on something I don’t know what work. Yep that’s a real response believe it or not.
But if you are smart enough to get past this mindset continue reading. So you take the huge step and you decide to invest into your craft and your future and your career. Here’s the simple math on how to turn $16 into $72,000
So let’s say you go out and you hand out those 500 business cards. We know not everyone of the 500 people are going to come in to get a haircut but let’s say on average 75 people out of the 500 card you give out come back to you. And out of those 75 people they get their haircut once a week. So that’s 75 people X $20 that’s $1,500 a week which is $6,000 a month which turns into $72,000 a year.
Now I know $72,000 sounds like a lot of money and I know 75 people sounds like a lot of new clients and I know actually getting them to come once a week seems a little far-fetched. But what this is is to show you how easy it is to push yourself to make these kind of month numbers. All you have to do is put yourself out there and apply yourself. And your business will multiply daily.
These cards aren’t going to give their self out. You’re not going to be able to give a stack of these cards to your friends each and then go hand out every one of the cards you’ll be lucky if a quarter of the cards actually get handed out. But if you get out there and you go to your local stores your local malls Walmart, other locations like nightclubs or bars, or restaurants. If you actually go out there and hand these cards out face to face with your new potential clients there’s no way that you won’t get a return on your investment because to pay for this $16 set of 500 Business Cards all you have to do is one haircut. For some reason in 2017 the world thinks that business cards are no longer a thing everyone thinks that you can just jump on social media and make millions and new clients by posting a new picture on Facebook or Instagram. But here’s the problem 99% of the other barbers in the industry think the same exact way see your competition is through the roof you’re not just competing with people locally be competing with people globally. So when you come to someone face-to-face with a business card and you introduce yourself to them you were doing something to them that has not been done to them in a long time you are putting the business owner with the customer face to face before they walk into your Barbershop. Instead of their cell phone in 2017 social interaction are not really a thing. So bye coming face-to-face with your customer you’re bringing something brand new to the game. Even know it’s a thing of the past.
I’m not saying that social media is not a great addition to Your Arsenal period but what I am saying is we need to step back to the basics. We need to go back to meeting potential clients face-to-face instead of over there cell phone.
So if you still think the $16 investment is not worth it let’s do some math if you give out 500 business cards and only one person comes back with that business card and he gets his hair cut by you once a month still made $240 that year off of a $16 investment. See you tell me is your future worth a $16 investment???
